Social Media and Seniors

When it comes to seniors, we often get the stereotypical image of an elderly man or woman fumbling with the keyboard and ignorant of how to use it. But did you know that seniors consist of the fastest growing group of social media users? In a surprising twist, it turns out that there are many elderly folk who find that social media is relevant to their lives and for communication. They're not just using email now, but are making active use of Facebook, Google, and Twitter. Out of 14.8 million users representing a 1448 % of this years's demographic, 11% of them are Facebook seniors.

It's clearly evident that seniors are just as willing as today's average adult to learn and apply social media to their lives. As an elderly care service agency that provides in home and live in caregivers, A-1 Home Care applaud this yearning in seniors to learn and have taken steps to ensure that we are just as updated with both the senior and the adult population. In order to reach out to more audiences who are seeking Elderly Care or 24 Hour Care, we have created our very own page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more. In fact, our Facebook page is less than a year old and it has already received over 2,000 likes!
